Monday - Survey for Video Production
The purpose of the Worst Video Ever was to really drive home all of the common mistakes that we make when we're shooting videos "from the hip" (without having a plan). What are some of the ingredients that go into Great Videos? List some of the common things, but also try to think of some of the "intangible ingredients."

Ok, so I think to make a great video you mostly have to just plan ahead. Have a storyboard so you already know what kind of shots you're looking for and have something of a script with the parts casted so it makes sense. Set up in a place with good lighting, then at the end spent plenty of time editing and putting in music and such.

a great veido has a stpry a plot and it is susposed to tell something or show somone something. A good viedo has obviously none of the things that were shown in the worst viedo. it should have good shots good lighting clear talking good music and a good meaning
ReplyDeleteGreat video components:
ReplyDelete-good lighting
-good audio
-plot
-good camera shots
as well as:
-a compatible crew
-enjoyable, yet productive, objectives
-a learning experience (apply your knowledge to the outside world)
-Sir Ulrich
Umm well great videos have a specific storyboard so that the camera work can be quick, and easy to do. Then you need a good team, good director, good camera's etc...and a good concept.
ReplyDeleteOkay, actual technical stuff...good lighting, good angles/shots, quick shots with no wasted time...good background, that goes with the video....yes...mostly good videos are "clean" and everything is "sharp"
Kelly Christopherson
With a great video you are going to need decent lighting, good actors or reporters, and something to catch your main audiences attention. -Eric Lynch

ReplyDeletegood lighting and audio. good shots. plan it all out before you go to shoot it so theres a point to it. practice before shooting so its better and doesnt take so long. good editing. good sound levels, dont make music to loud in the background. take time to make it good, dont rush through it or it will be crappy.
-Tyler Hoover ***TEAM RAWR***
Really good animation...music that matches the feeling you're trying to create. Good, different camera angles. Good camera control...and all that good stuff...lol

CGI and great fight scenes. That's what goes into popular movies in any case. The more visually stimulating the film, the better it'll sell in today's market, so all of the camera work is a given. Other elements include: 'hard core' music (i.e. Lord of the Rings, Pirates of the Caribbean), great graphics (Avatar, Transformers), strong story with well developed story board (Titanic, Gladiator).
ReplyDelete-Kayleigh
