I don't really spend a lot of time on the web, but when I do go online I spend most of my time checking my e-mail or on Dictionary.com. But no, I do NOT think that the web can lead to a better world. Even now, we see things like fraud and cyber bulling on the web, with the advancement of said web these things can only get worse.

ReplyDelete2. 60 Hours per week.
3. The internet has already transformed global information transfering. This exists both at a corporate level and an individual basis. The ability for an individual to purchase products from overseas is much easier as well, so this adds to a global economy that is fast rising. There was a time when London, UK and France had cutting edge fashion, unknown to the west. Now however, smart importers are researching trends overseas as they develop and importing the goods and services here on a purchase order basis. I do believe the continued change will be a positive one which will break down boarders and boundries, oppression and censorship.

1) some of the most popular sites that I like on the web are myspace, facebook and occasionally websites sites that I get info from. Also I love to download songs so thats a plus. whyy the interest me its a good social environment to connect with your friends and talk to each other but random information.
ReplyDelete2)The time I spend online is fairly short seeing as I dont have access to the net in my home. but to estimate I would say 3 to 4 hrs.
3)Yes I believe that random things as well as new innovations to the already created inventions of technology would prove to be beneficial to the world. There are alot of things that do change the world and technology is one of them and without we wouldnt have some of the great innovations and things that we have today. Its realluy crazy because computers and technology is how most of the world interacts.
1. Youtube, Playlist. Youtube to watch videos (duh) and playlist to listen to music while i play my computer games.
ReplyDelete2. 20 hours during the week, 20 hours during the weekends, so about 40 hours a week.
3. The growth of the internet will eventually make the world a better place because eventually, ideas will be spread worldwide, plans to help others will expand over the internet (such as online charities), and also, as i have experienced, the ability to learn of different cultures around the world in places such as Germany, The United Kingdom, and Poland.
myspace, facebook, youtube, yahoo, clothing sites, project playlist because i like to look at clothes and talk to my friends and go on farmville. I spend about 5 to 6 hours on the computer a day. The growth of the web will change the world because everything will be put on computers and so much easier and there will be less real human interaction.

ReplyDeleteI am definitely a great fan of the following: Facebook, NOT Myspace, Youtube, and Grooveshark. I'm a social person, therefore I like to stay connected with all my friends and family.
ReplyDeleteOn average I'm on the computer about 3-4 hours a day. You can do the math by multiplying that number by 7.
The Web has a great impact on people. Anywhere from meeting new people, learning new information, reading the news, or staying connected with loved ones. It can only go further from here, but it is not necessarily always a good thing. There could be a time where no one will interact with one another anymore, and it's all virtual. So I think balancing real life with the virtual life is most important for our society.
1)myspace, youtube, and yahoo. i get on yahoo just to check my e-mail, youtube to watch vidoes, and myspace to catch up with friends.
ReplyDelete2)i don't really get on the internet.
3)i think that the web can lead to a better world, because we learn so much from what we see and read, but then at the same time, i think that it can lead to a world full of violent form what we learn on the web.

3.i dont really know what it will lead to, the web can be seen as a good or bad thing.
i think in the end, everything we ever want to know, or learn will be on the web, which causes problems with the people who are quilified for those certain jobs, they lose money, and the demand for them are low.
1. google, myspace, jamglue. myspace allows me to keep in touch with other people. jamglue allows me to get the music i want. and google allows me to find anything im looking for.
ReplyDelete2. about 48 hours a week
3. i believe the web will bring the people toghether instead of apart by allowing us to see or hear each other over the web by keeping in contact
