"It was never a big issue, and if kids want to skip kids will skip. If we put as much energy, time, and concearn in real issues we could actually make this school a better place. I for one am rarely late and if i ever am late i now have to worry about some idiodic policy that virtually no students are in favor for ..."
Respond to this statement - agree / disagree? If you agree, what are some of the "real issues" that we should be more focused on?
I agree. Some of the real issues are what are we going to do about this old school or the horrible food we have- kami flake
ReplyDeleteI definitely agree with the statement above--we are putting way too much time and effort into this tardy thing. We could be focusing instead on getting supplies for our classes. Things like paper, for instance, which the District has stopped providing.
ReplyDelete~~Obada Ejoh
Some of the real issues would be things like getting books, making the school safer and more hygenic, and getting ALL the teachers all the supplies they need to teach. -Lauren Wicke
ReplyDeleteI think some of the real issues we should be focused on are maybe just helping the kids who ARE attending class on a regular basis, to continue to reach their highest capable level of education. Also, ridding the school of unneccesary violence.
ReplyDelete-Myata B.
we should be more concern about the limited or dated supplies we have.... -nate C
ReplyDelete"Gimme MOAR coffee beans, we runnin low!"
ReplyDeleteNo, I don't agree it isn't my problem, I'm not late. And when I am most of my teachers will let me in anyway because I'm not disruptive. If they want to make a lesson of me then so be it, it isn't my choice. SO FFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUU...
I agree.
ReplyDeletei agree just let the kids do what they want if they fail because of it then thats on them.We should just work on real issues-Ciara Cisneros
ReplyDeleteI most definitely agree with this statement. Some real issues that we could be focusing on if we weren't so hung up on the tardies is violence in schools, what we are learning about in classes and what the school district is making us learn. a lot of the teachers don't really notice the problems that do occur in schools. For people who aren't late, this is just annoying to hear every two seconds how horrible our school is! Its also very discouraging.
ReplyDeletei agree there are many other problems that are more important that we should deal with.
ReplyDelete-Tanya;*
last one from Alayna Bailey... oops =)
ReplyDeleteI think that some real issues are that we are running out of paper. Also, think of how nasty the bathrooms are. We could do a lot more to keep those clean. Not many people are trying to stay "clean" while we are in what people may call "h1n1 season". I honestly think that instead of really focusing on kids being late who could care less about how they do in school or what they do afterwards, we could be trying to keep this school cleaner for the student.
ReplyDelete-Raechel Price
We should be worry about the kids who are trying to learn, if people are in the hallways and just screwing around, then they proabably really don't care that much about getting an education. There are people here that want to learn. Just by giving us extra points and doing bellwork, we are kinda wasting time and we don't get all the learning that we should be getting.-Natalie Stouffer
ReplyDeleteI agree, something that we should fouced on is the kids that are going to class and working. we should get new text book and better time of use in class,, also fix this old school.
ReplyDeletemeng yang
Kids will skip no matter what, you cant really stop all of them. We should focus on the kids who go to class and are trying to learn something.
ReplyDeletei agree with what was said in this blog.!,because there is ''real issues'' like these teachers in this school.! better staff they should have started there. but instead they want to send people home.but also want them to be on time...how does that make any sense.! but whatever they are going to do what they want but this school isn't going to change its not the school it the kids who don't want to be here and that doesn't speak for all of us.! so by all means whatever. -ALYSSA TUCK<3
ReplyDeleteI agree with Michael Wilson, he makes a GREAT point! : )
ReplyDeleteYup, Its Their Choice, Wouldnt Worry About The People Who Dont Care, We Have Bigger Problems We Needa Deal With.. -D.Navarro
ReplyDeleteI Agree we need to be more concerned about we can spend more time and energy on the kids that actually come to school and learn we will never have all the kids in class its sad but we need to worry about the people that want to learn and reward them and not waste time punishing the people who don't care
ReplyDeleteI Agree there are much worse problems than this -R.I.P. James "The Rev" Sullivan -Grant Swix
ReplyDeletei think the school needs to focus on things like people passin their classes giving them extra help giving them an incentive to come to class and make class maybe a little bit more fun just so kids want to come.-cameron sanchez
ReplyDeletePeople stop agreeing! YOu don't have to agree with everything. Come up with a new idea because you don't have to stay on topic...
ReplyDeleteI Agree there are much worse problems than this -R.I.P. James "The Rev" Sullivan -Grant Swix
ReplyDeleteI think it is a big issue that were trying to deal with but we need to put more energy into gettin more things for the school like books.

I agree with the blog because its true about more than one thing.
ReplyDelete~Taylor L.
wtf...wtf.and technically i am not cussing...soo...wtf?people only worry about stuff that has to deal with them or benefit themselves.
ReplyDeleteI agree. If students want to skip they will find a way to. Some real issues are students actually doing their work or not and students getting into fights. A big issue is respect from students and teachers to teachers and students. -Jessica Z.
ReplyDeletesome other bigger problems that we have is that we need to make AYP because we have not made it in 6 years in a row, so that is what i think are biggest problem is
ReplyDeleteFred Turner
i agree and i think one of the real issues are people graduating i think they should make alternative ways to get credits besides testing out and credit recovery... make a class that is more fast paced and u can fite more classes in on sememester
ReplyDeletethe skool will only be better if and only if yu either knock this skool down and start from scratch.or jus have open campus, longer time in between classes.thts tha only way the skool would work.
ReplyDelete-Gabby
i agree and i think one of the real issues are people graduating i think they should make alternative ways to get credits besides testing out and credit recovery... make a class that is more fast paced and u can fite more classes in on sememester.
ReplyDeletetyler b
I think that the classes are not interesting enough to the point the people want to come to class. If the majority student body doesn't find something interesting enought that more then half of the kids at this school don't do it, then parts of it should be changed to fit the majority-Jordan King
ReplyDeleteI think the teachers should worry less on the kids skipping and more on how to teach better. Half the kids could care less weather or not they get in trouble so why waste your time trying to get someone in trouble and help them mess there future up. Let them do it on there own. They don't need someone to tell them there doing bad they already know. And since your focusing more on the kids who don't care, the ones who actually do end up in trouble for messing up for there first time.
ReplyDeleteI do believe that the kids who are tardy and/or absent are the ones who don't care. Why should we care about them, if they could honestly care less about us or the school? There's a handful of kids like that that shouldn't affect the rest of us. I'm sure there are plenty of kids who get caught in hallway traffic or not exactly running to their next class, but have the intention of going to class whether they necessarily want to or not, but get caught in the hall sweeps because of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. The real issues should concern the students who elect to be here, even though they may or may not enjoy. I'm sure that the teachers and administrators understand that we DON'T want to be here everyday, but making it better for the ones that are here, and making an effort in school each day. The focus should be on improving the classrooms, resources, and how the school looks.
ReplyDeleteMost students would say that lunch is a real BIG issue. Well, it is.....but, the biggest problem of all is the students' behaviors.
ReplyDeleteStudents and their behaviors affect, not only other students, but the teachers and learning as well. If we were to have a "class-clown" in every class, the teachers would go nuts! Which is sort of what we have now: 'A Class-Clown In Every Class'.
But it's not funny the way that students treat their teachers and/or administrators.
"The way you treat the ones who teach you, is different than the way you treat the ones you love and hate".
This shouldn't be a big problem, but now it is, because students don't know how to follow directions. Sure, it might not be fair to you, but think about others.
a bigger issue that should be focused on more is if students are passing their classes. it is pointless to make a big deal about tardies and make sure that everyone is in class if the students are not passing. teachers should talk to students more about getting grades and passing to motivate them.
ReplyDelete~*~Elena Herrera~*~
I agree the real issues because they are some people that they don't know about the school. sometime they do what they want. They don't follow the teaching of teachers.-Nelson Mandela
ReplyDeletei agree. kids are going to do what ever they please to do. we put to much time into things that we KNOW we cant fix. sure we can send em to a diff. school but that aint gunna fix anything. we need to spend some more time workin on gettin them fries back .=)
ReplyDelete-Chelsey n. Clark
i agree with that we need to work on the kids that skip. the point is that we can use the camras that the school has. the tardy thing that we are useing today is bad becuse the simpale thing is if the kids that are never late and there are the one time there put in to the kids that skip all the time so the tardy palasy SUX nun the less they should kill it so there is not the big panice in it. my plan would make the kids that sikp will se what there realy do so gather up all the kids that are late/abbsent all the time should be put in to a group and just get kick out and call the parents to explane why there were kick out and that if it happend over and over the need to get to get expled from the school so they have to repeat the grade.

ReplyDeletei agree the tardy issue isnt a big issue.its more issues at school that could be delt with.i think to much time and effort is bein put into this tardey thing
ReplyDeleteimoni
This SO called "NEW" TARDY POLOICY is just making the problems worse we know kids need to get to class and if they don't thats their problem but if this school was as concerned about making this school look presentable than all this tardy non sense we would actually have a great learning envoirment!
ReplyDeleteJeff-Walker
i agree with the statement kids are goin 2 skip until they grow up and realize it aint doin nothin but hurtin them!! chelsey g
ReplyDeletei think we need to focus more on the needs of the students to make school somewhere where they want to be and less like a jail :)
ReplyDeleteMariah.H*
Hm. I think that teachers are wasting their time on students that dont care about school, when they should be focusing on the students that are in class everyday trying to make an effort.
ReplyDelete- Quatica =]
I agree with you Jeff, the school does need to work on apperal.
ReplyDeletei think that teachers should pronably focus on the students that are concerned about being on time and getting an education instead of trying to keep does that dont care to come to school.if someone dosent like school they are just simply not gonna come.
ReplyDeleteI agree, I think that if the teachers focused more on actually teaching kids or tutoring kids instead of sending them to the social room, we would actually have a chance at making AYP
ReplyDelete- James Van Zile
I agree, the school should be more concerned with things like getting new books.
ReplyDelete- Amelia A.
The problem is that 'real issues' aren't quite so black and white. This is something they feel they can make real progress with so they're going to give us an illusion that they aren't worthless and can do something. What's going to happen with those kids who are constantly late/tardy is going to happen. It's all on us for everything. It's not like they ever have or ever will really listen to the kids.
ReplyDelete-Justin McKnight
i agree that were putting to much time into the tardy;s. and pluse taking the kids out of class because they were tardy only gives the kids what they want
ReplyDeleteEric Steele
hum... yes the tardy thing is dumb and should only be considered for hall walkers and i want my french fries back
ReplyDeleteI think its selfish irresponnsible and ignorant for students to come to school and have the nerve to skip class or just walk in whenever they feel that shows how later in life they wont be responsible and shouldnt be taken serious by teachers security or there fellow students.
ReplyDeleteYa Boi
Yeah, I agree. The good kids being tardy rarely DO have to worry about getting detention is bad... But yeah I think if we spend more time on other issues then tardies like spending more times on clubs and stuff would be better. -Adam Cortez

ReplyDelete-Bryonna Trevino
I agree. I understand the school wants to improve but it seems to me that this policy will create new problems. Such as skipping. I would rather walk of campus and do something productive for an hout than sit in the social room because I was a few seconds tardy. Foget that. Forget this(for lack of a better word) STUPID policy. I think it will create problems but hey whatever.
ReplyDelete-Amelia
I definitely agree. There are way more importatnt issues than trying to control ignorant kids. Giving the best education possible to the kids that actually show up on time and everyday would be nice.
ReplyDelete- Lynea Villegas
I agree with the statement becuase i dont believe that students who are always on time should be put in this situation. There are certain situations in which students will be late at sometimes it is not our fault. the students who are never late should not be part of this situation. to get down to real problems in the school you have to look at are the students with severe abscences and tardies because on they are hurting our learning and our school. these students do not care about their education so why do we keep them here to hurt one our school in general and two the image of our school. students like that make people outside of the school talk about our school like it is a horrible place when it isnt.
ReplyDeletei agree, i went to class on time today like always and a student was like 2 seconds late
ReplyDeleteJUST 2!!!. and the teacher made a biggg deal about it. sent him to the socail room cause he was 2!!!!! seconds late. THAT teacher made a big deal about it. that 10 minutes she took could of been 10 minutes of me learning something..
- bernade lizaire
I completely agree with that. It doesn't make any difference at all if the staff wants to take us out of our class for getting there a few minutes late - then all in all it doesn't help anyone out. It gives them one more person to deal with and it gives us one more thing to stress about on top of our pile of homework and schoolwork. The Real issues we actually need to deal with are things like textbooks, test grades, and classrooms. There is always going to be someone who gets to class late or just chooses not to get to class at all. Taking them out of the class and placing them in a room with nothing to do does not ultimately solve the problem.
ReplyDelete-Brenda
One before is Billy hundts
ReplyDeleteI agree with that statement. We should be more focused on the education of the students who are putting forth the effort to learn.
ReplyDelete-Jessalyn Gonzales
I think the Tardies are deffinately not the biggest issue that the school should be dealing with. I honestly think there should be new desks. There are more issues then just people skipping class, but with all the schools time and energy going into that, the real issues are being over looked.
ReplyDelete-Jason
i agree well their is some problems that we need fix like every one is sayin that we mite loes are school soo why worry about somthin that is happen 2 these kids that dont try and they arnt at school that is not somthin that should be slamed on us (mariah harris)
ReplyDeletei agree... It seem that the MAIN focus is on TARDIES instead of our EDUCATION... if students want to skip let them it will fall back on them... ~DeAnna Mullins~
ReplyDeleteHEY!!!! I agree with this statement, I am a good student who is rarely late. If I have some trouble in getting to my locker and I have to go to the bathroom I am going to be VERY rushed!!!
ReplyDeleteIf this happens to me I get lunch detention, which causes more trouble for the students and staff. Then I might be absent the next day, and I get a two day suspension for insubordination. Overall I miss three days of school and get set back in my school-work.
♪Adam P.♪
I agree, the punishment for being tardy is too extreme. I'm tired of the ridiculous policies created and forgotten about(*Cough* Student IDs *Cough*) in an attempt to make Eastern LOOK better. We should focus more on how to make Eastern actually BE better. Lets focus on making sure classes are productive, (doing strictly bookwork for an entire semester is not productive) getting the appropriate materials for classes, and making sure our teachers know what their doing.
ReplyDelete-Rosalia Juarez-Yuen
gettin these fries back in the lunch room lol
ReplyDelete- Noland
real issues are academics and crapy lunches -jacob miller
ReplyDeleteNo, tardies are a big deal, but the administration is dealing with it the wrong way. We should focus on things like spelling words correctly, so even if we have an intelligent idea, people aren't distracted by elementary mistakes.
ReplyDelete-Kelly Christopherson
I think the main priority should be the grades and progress of students.
ReplyDelete-Joe Ulrich
i agree. to be honest with eastern principal and staff this tardy thing is not going to help much because i personally belive that we need extra help to study and have more activitis in our school, our teachers barely care about making a class fun and interesting there are only a few teachers who actaully care about making the class fun and interesting. i come to school to learn something new everyday but when math teachers dont have enough time to tutor me how am i supposed to get a good drade? thats wat the school needs to focus on not kids being on time just because your 40 seconds tardy dosent mean you cant learn plus making to your next class in 5 minutes isnt easy with the traffic in the hallways specially if you have to walk across the building...
ReplyDeletefarid S
we needz 2 be getn deze dumb ppl out teh halway & git dem 2 clazz
ReplyDeleteI think that we need to stop wasting our time on kids who don't care and who don't want to learn. We need to focus on the kids who want to learn and who come to class. Nothing administration does will make kids want to learn, so to be honest they should just not waste their time. They need to spend their time helping kids who want to learn pass their classes and give us the supplies to do so.
ReplyDelete~~Rachel Turner~~
The tardies are an effect, not a cause. They are a symptom of a school that is going downhill. People are no longer motivated to attend school becasue school is no longer for the students, it's for politicians. let's dissolve the public school system and privatize the whole thing so people have to compete for students and the government can hand out vouchers. Sounds good to me.
ReplyDelete-Katie King
I agree we have "Real Issues," being tardy is one of the problems but we must take one step at a time and this policy may even help out our academic test scores in the future. – Ryan Gilbert
ReplyDeleteI think the real issues are the lunch and how it is the same everyday. They should have at least two days a week something diffrent. Thats why people are still leaving during lunch and coming back tardy.
ReplyDelete-Eric Goss
i agree that people will be mad about getting in trouble for that one time they are late tardiness is an issue, but id like to see the food change back to how it use to be
ReplyDeleteBrett Anderson
I think tardies are deffinatly not the biggest problem. Kids are going to skip no matter what the school does. How is suspending kids who skip teaching them a lesson? You just making it easier on them by not letting them come to school. Eastern needs to really focus more on real situations such as Classrooms looking better, new desks that don't squeak & falling apart, every student having there own books for every class! Not looking at random things that they really have no control over. AGAIN kids will always skip no matter what! Lets stop over looking all the real issues.
ReplyDelete-Brittany Dyer

ReplyDelete-Myata B.
I would have to agree with this person if there is anything we should take care of is the cafetiria food alot of people get agravated from eating the same food and even thou go to the quaker room they still cringe looking at some of the "choice's" which are not that good and some students (like myself) have stomic problems eating some of this "food" and i cant eat at the vending mechines cause of it being shut down i now just eat at the consession stand to feed myself which is not that healthy this is more like garbage than food we got to do something about it
ReplyDeleteI agree the students that want success will secceed its always been that way, we need to focus on other issues like lunch, the actual tardy policy which i think is retarded that its possible to fail a class with a B+ becuase of tardies but we should focus on things that also apply to the students who want to succeed....... -Leo Mendoza
ReplyDeletei agree for the most part. it tardiness is a problem but there are definately bigger problems in this school that we need to be focusing on. like maybe the laziness of some teachers or the unhealthy and unattractive luches and lack of french fries. --Deborah H.
ReplyDeleteAgree. I think the administration doesnt realize that this doesnt change what the skippers are going to do. Just escort the people who are roaming the hallways (you can tell, the difference between them and people who are going to class). But then again we have idiotic staff who dont understand that half the kids in the school just dont give a damn about their education
ReplyDeleteI think the kids in the hallway is a big problem. And they should be the people suspended. Also the kids that skip and miss the WHOLE class are the problem. Not tardies. Kids should not be punished if they're actually going to class. Another problem is the food. Just saying. Thats why its nice to go off campus to get tasty food. =]
ReplyDeleteLauren Lindemulder
I kinda disagree because too many tardies for one school can and will cause problems. We might not see it but i am almost am for sure that it was a major problem but also their way about going about it is all wrong and its dumb. The same people being tardy everyday then getting suspended it no better.
ReplyDeletei agree with this statment there are so many other problems in this school that need to be worked out like some of the teachers who are not fit to be teaching. Also the lack of unity in our school the teaches and older roles in our school they do not understand the students and what we need to leean. and when you change the principals every year it does not help at all because it just changes the progress we have made the year before with our previous principal.... basically it sucks
ReplyDelete-keanna berry
I agree with this statement completely. I agree that there are several other important things that we need to focus on, other than the kids who are going to do what they want no matter how extreme the punishment. Real problems we should focus on include the school food and it's lack of fries, the crowded classrooms, the overall upkeep of the school and maintence of things like squeaky desks or desks falling apart.
ReplyDelete-M. Rambo
I agree because if students want to skip they will no one can stop them those who skips they don't care about their education. those who cares they go to class sometimes they be late is not because they are skipping they had to do something important. there is other important thing they need to take care then tardies.
ReplyDeleteShakira
i think we need better food, that isnt completely gross and a waste of money. better heating, new principles because they obviously dont know how to run a school if they r punishing every student for being tardy, its different if they are tardy constantly, but they shouldnt punish someone for being tardy just a couple of times.
ReplyDelete-Tyler Hoover
on the same topic of tardiness, i agree to this because it might be on the same boarder line of ayp. if there's more tardies, the school won't be as good as we wont it to be.
ReplyDelete-sean riley
1st thing, i agree. there are other more important issues concerning this school. THE BUDGET. here at eastern, we have a closed campus. that means the school has to spend a lot more money on crappy lunches. also closing the vending machine was a bonehead move. people were getting ripped off any way on getting those snacks
ReplyDelete-zach vanamber
I agree with this statement 100% What we need to do is work on getting better food. We are sick and tired of those sour, and salty nachos. We want are fries back! Our awesome FRIES!!!
ReplyDeleteThe real issues are the rules in district policy. Teachers interpret those rules to students but do they actually enforce it?
ReplyDeleteAttendance is a big problem. People just don't show up to class. This will not be helped by taking kids out of class for being late.
ReplyDeleteThere are a lot of problems in our school -as in every institution- and many of them cannot be worked out. There will always be problems in schools. We will never have enough funding, proper training, motivation, or support to change everything that we would like to have changed.
If parents cared it would make a difference, but they don't. Kids act like fools because their guardians just don't care.
It's hard to make a culture of students who care about learning and school when they're coming from an already well established culture of accepted failure and indifference.
-Kayleigh R.
Just face it...Granholm is running this state into the ground. This budget is affecting everybody not just the schools. Look at sports, we have to suffer with getting rid of the key players that makes our teams because the economy sucks.
ReplyDeleteJason Hill
I think that it is good for students to have an extra push to go to school and be educated but if that push is not coming from home there is really nothing that the school can do. if students are not motivated or encouraged to be in school by their guardians/family members then they wont have the drive to go to school and do what needs to be done. So over doing this tardy issue will only make things worse for the students who are on time and doing what needs to be done.
ReplyDeleteDestiney McCoy
I agree with this statement because their is so many students that don't care about their education. Their are so many real issues with students skipping and i think that teachers shouldn't waste their time trying to help the students that skip, the other students come to class everyday and on time and they should get more of the attention from the teacher when they ask for help....Keanu Torrez
ReplyDeletehe real problem is the behavior of students in their classrooms. i mean they just talk to their teachers however they want and say things that are disrespectful. its disrupting to the other students in the classroom trying to get an education. the teachers dont deserve that type of reaction when they're the ones helping you graduate. if a teacher politely asks you to quit talking, or even requests for you to give them your phone, just do it without a hassle. no need to draw attention to yourself and make a big scene. you're only embarassing yourself.
ReplyDelete~ReBeKaH lAwLeR~
"Do you think the tardy problem was becoming a 'big' problem (interfering with learning)?"
ReplyDeleteThe first section of the question asks if I think the tardy problem was becoming a 'big' problem... honestly when HASN'T it been a 'big' problem. This school doesn't exactly have what you would call the best reputation, and this problem has been here way before our years. Even back when my brother and sister attended this damn school people would skip or just talk in the halls. Every single effort that our 'Staff' has tried has only further pressed the issue. If someone tries to make a rule telling a bunch of teenagers NOT to do something than they will just about feel obligated to try anyway to go against what is expected of them. It's almost like a double edged sword; tell them they can skip, no one would go to class;
tell them they have to get to class on time 'or else', they look at the staff and security guards and just say f**k it. There's pretty much no way to completely stop people from being tardy or to keep them from skipping, someone will always do it for years and years to come.
As for the second section of the question, (interfering with learning), I kind of figure that if the student really wants to learn and get the most out of the only free education they'll ever get than they WILL attend class and NOT skip. It's pretty much the dividing line between the kids who do care about their future, and those who do things to either fit into some kind of 'social group' that won't even matter as soon as they leave highschool and those who just have no means to further their education.
In short, is it a big problem? [yes]
can we do anything to stop it? [no]
interfering with learning? [not to those who are there]
- George Avendano
Ehhhhh....tardy kids will be tardy kids...just get rid of em....geeezzz...OBVIOUSLY ALL you have to do when you DO catch them is check they're attendance...some kids may be be late just that ONE time, while others are CONSTANTLY late. I'm sure the "big man...well....woman" can at LEAST do THAT much if they're SOOOOOOOOO obsessed with them... "Gotta catch em all, huh?" Sounds like some reject pokemon show....YOU'RE NO ASH KETCHUM, PRINCIPAL!!!!
ReplyDelete-Jon
Tardiness is a minor problem but its is not as serious as skipping, missing a couple minutes of class will not interfere with your learning
ReplyDelete-Michael Jay Le
I believe that tardiness is an issue. The policy is not "idiotic", and it will work. I just feel that missing an entire hour of class is a bit extreme.
ReplyDeleteThe people that don't normally show up for class are those that just don't care. Where they are is not going to make a difference to those types of students. However, it will make a difference to those that do care.
--Sarah Kimmel
I agree -alex payne-
ReplyDeleteSkipping will get you to nowhere in life you will not pass highschool or get a job by skipping. Its a bad thing to skip i think if students come late to school they have to have a reason or if they come to class late they have to have a reason or pass. Because skipping is unhealthy thing to do.....
ReplyDeleteChris lowure
I agree, sort of. To our dismay, this new, very inconvenient policy is showing some progress. But I certainly think that there could be other ways to deal with those who, like you said, are rarely late. Also, I've observed that those who hear the tardy bell and understand forced policy will not go to the comply go to the social room to end with some kind of consequence, but will instead just leave. So it's kind of a double edged sword.
ReplyDeleteI kind or agree with what the person said because; being late and tardy constantly will affect you later on if you really think about it, all of those tardiness will add up and it's no good. But they shouldn't make such a big fuss about it because that in a way stresses the students more in a way; so then what is the point of the policy? Either way; if this keeps going on for a while, eventually many kids will drop out because they can't handle being overly controlled. -*Yuli Lopez♥
ReplyDeleteIf your tardy its no big deal you still came to class i would rather have a student who is late every day and dose well in class than one who come every day on time and still disrupts class and fails. the issue is not the tardy 's but the people who don't actively try. and as of yesterday we have 95% of students in class on time what is the big deal if 95% can make it on time. i bet out of thos 95% over half of them are failing or darn neer close. and for the 5% who are tardy big deal thay still went to class.
