ReplyDeleteBeyond Prop 8: Same-sex couples and their struggles to marry.
ReplyDeleteThis interested me because it applies and will affect me in the future. It also was interesting because it says this, "The case likely will reach the U.S. Supreme Court and may culminate in a landmark decision -- some have dubbed it this generation's Brown v. Board of Education or Roe v. Wade."
I thought that was a very nice comparison and maybe one day we can all live together and everyone can have the same rights.

"Michigan teen with headphones hit by train and lives"
ReplyDelete-LSJ.com
I think that this is so silly! I dont care how noise-blocking your headphones are- when a train is coming from behind, you can hear the whistle! Or, you can at least feel the vibrations on the tracks.

ReplyDeleteOne of the news articles that i found very interesting, other than the main story on Haiti, is the story of the little boy who got suspended for his hair being a little longer than his neck. I feel really sorry for him and his family, but the school has allowed him to attend, with "certain restrictions".

In Iran there was a scientist who was murdered by a bomb attatched to his motorcycle. I ran suspects U.S to be the killers. I think about our country and ask myself "Would we do that?".....my answer...."Who know? Would you?"
ReplyDelete-Jessica.Z
i saw the Hati earthquake and that was truely sad it was on the new and to see all of those people bloody hurt and looking for lost love ones it hurtand makes me think wat terrible things can happen.
ReplyDeleteTheresa B.
Some 4 year old got suspended because his hair was too long for school. That's just a little extreme, especially for such a young kid over an unimportant issue. Seems like that school district cares more about apperance than education.

"Huge Quake Devastates Haiti" is the only one that caught my attention. I always favor natural disasters and weather over finance/celebrities etc.

"Blacks Optimistic About The Future"
ReplyDeleteThis headline in and of itself is why race isn't moving forward at all. Race doesn't matter, it's just rich and poor. How much work you're willing to put into your job and your own life is what determines how well you live. Try again.

ReplyDeleteWhat a terrible thing!!! I would hate to be in a earthquack and get my loved ones lost. Must be a horrible thing being in that situation. The U.S.A should help those people.
ReplyDeleteGive the boy a hair cut and take him off the news so we can have some REAL news.
Earth quake in Haiti, cuz i don't normally think of Haiti as being earthquake prone!
ReplyDeleteThere was an earthquake in Haiti and 1/3 of the population is in need of emergency aid. Lets go help them.
