Two weekends ago, we took our son to Alma College for a scholarship interview. One of the questions the professors asked him was, "If you could have one super power, what would it be and why?" So, that's today's topic.
(BTW - he choose mind reading - I don't know why.)

If i could have one super power i would want to have the ability to write stories wherein people could actually exdperience the things the characters do--actually becoming the character in a sort of virtual way. That, I think, would be a wonderful power.

I would like a power similar to mystique's -

They would be my minions and do everything i want them to... including but not limited to: multiplying, killing people with their pointy things, poking Jaylen and eating tacos. =)

ReplyDeleteI would'nt want a super power. Too much responsibility and the feeling of letting someone down if you couldn't do anything. Being plain human should be good enough for me and really all of you. I'm content in the world we live and if it were any different then we wouldn't be very Human would we?
I would want the ability to fly so that way I could go anywhere in the world and be home before dark :)

There's pros and cons for every 'superpower.' Honestly, I couldn't chose a single one because of that fact. Perhaps Telekinesis. I don't know.

ReplyDeleteIf we lived in a world where everyone had a unique superpower, mine would be the ability to fly. Morgan's comment really jogged my memory. Flying, like Peter Pan, would be such a satisfying feeling.

I think I would want to read minds too:-) Because I would like to know what people think of me like on first impressions,or like when I am trying to be professional and I'm messing up I would like to know quick what i'm messing up on so I can fix it as soon as I know. Therefore I can make the change and things will run smoothly henceforth.

The thing that bothers me the most is not knowing what people are thinking. Like, I'm the kind of person who reads peoples actions and emotions, and thinks about what they say. I usually determine what they mean by my own interpretation. But it bugs the heck out of me when I can't figure soemone out. So, with all this said, I would want the power to read minds. Only when I choose though.

My one superpower would the be ability to add time to each day without the consequences of age. To have the abiliity to slow down time and thereby have the power to do everything in a day that I wanted, or to spend as much time in a day with those I wanted. There always seems to be so much I want to do and never enough time to do it.
