  3. I'm sure not everyone feels comfortable, but Eastern is a very diverse place, & I think that helps at least a little. There's always someone the same and someone different than yourself.
We can all have the same respect that we should be given for other people/groups, and be completely tolerant and unbiased in our day to day routines with interacting with others here.

  4. No, not all groups feel comfortable at EHS. Some are descriminated against and treated poorly as others are okay with how they are.

We can help by not being soignorant and cruel and actually let people be and feel what they want. It's not our choice to choose what they can do. Yes, I am doing my part by leaving them to do what they want or however they want to feel.

  5. Not all groups of people at Eastern feel comfortable. We still have some form of discrimination, even in certain 'groups'.

In order for us to remove this barrier, we need to be respectful to others.

  6. No, not all groups feel comfortable in EHS but i dont think everyone ever will. Even if you tried to make everyone feel comfortable it wouldnt work. Their is always going to be someone that doesnt, one thing we can do to help would be to not stereotype people. Their are so many stereotypes of people in this school that i dont know how anyone feels comfortable. But thats my opinion, you cant satisfy everybody.

  7. Honestly, I don't believe that anyone feels confortable at EHS. Anyone can snap on anyone and they could be horribly hurt. I don't think that there really is a way to help people feel comfortable and respected here. No matter what someone is going to disrespect others. Students disrespect teachers all the time and I highly doubt thats going to change at all. I believe I am doing my part to help but sometimes people push it too far and others snap. Its all part of life.

  10. No i think some of the people here don't feel comfrortable here......like me i am african and i don't have any problem but when i walk down the hall ways of eastern highschool i see other people making fun of these african kids just coming form africa.
it is not even cool these kids had to escape there home land because of war and they don't have parents too, thats just massed up right there. And most of the people that make fun of these kids are african american. why would they do something like this, don't they know that there ancestors were from africa too. So that aint right at all.......
I think in a way we can try and help the school by stop the name calling and harssaing the students.

  12. I do believe that all of us here at Eastern do feel comfortable. Eastern is a very diverse school and I have never once heard or seen someone putting someone else down because of their ethnicity or background or other such thing. Everyone may not be friends, but there is certainly a feeling of fellowship.

To make people feel more comfortable we should just keep doing what were doing now. We have many different clubs here at Eastern and all who are interested may join--There may be a Native American club and a French club but you don't have to be Native American or French in order to join. As for my part, well, I think I am pretty tolerant, at least, I don't favor one ethnicity over another--I have all sorts of friends. I guess I'm a pretty swell student. :)

  13. No,i don't think that everyone at EHS feels comfortable, we can start by respecting others people's points of views and religious views, and stop being racist!!!!!! but again nothing is ever how you want it to be

  14. Well i can't speak for other people but me personally i'm very comfortable at EHS. I think the best way for one to feel comfortable at EHS, one has to speak up if he/she feels disrespected. Many people are ignorant about other cultures, so if they say something disrespectful, i believe it is not out of hate but just pure ignorance. So I like to explain to people my culture and believes because the more one knows about someone else the less likely they will offend the other person. I do my part by always learning about other beliefs and cultures.

  15. I don't think that all groups here at Eastern feel comfortable because most people judge them based on what they look like, how they dress, the choices that they make, ect.. I am doing my part, because I think that if people want to make the choices they do then they can go right ahead.

  16. I dont think that every groups feels comfortable because there are so many groups that someones bound to feel disrespected or have some ignorance to another group...

theres really nothing we can do to stop because no matter what we do or say people are going to have there own opinion and views on how they treat people ... like we can give them advise but whos to say they are really listening to what we have to tell them about the issue

  17. I guess? lol
Stop being so judgemental about crap.

  18. I slept through the video.

    *yawns*

    Boring.

You can't tell people how to be more tolerant of differences, they do it on their own. People can make their own decisions and until they make the right ones, this school will remain blissfully ignorant to anything that is not what they are used to. You can't teach one to be open minded.

  19. Not much to say besides the fact that people have the choice to do what they want most of the time. So what can we do?

  21. I dont think that all groups feel comfortable at eastern high school. And everybody needs to accept people for who they are. But I accept people for who they are because I like their originallity.

  22. I think there are people here at Eastern highschool that are uncomfortable. I think the majority of Eastern's kids are comfortable. I think it's because of our school's diversity, that everyone can find someone they can relate to and befriend. If you're in the minority, at risk of being a group that gets made fun of, you'll have friends to hold you together.

  23. Well I don't everyone is comfrontable reasons being is that people at this school is very diffenclut to be aeound and half of them always have to be rude mean and/or childess with other people. I think we should just let people do them their not hurting no one or breaking any rules just let people enjoy themselves. I believe that a good 65% of the time I do the only time i don't is when people mess with me or my family.

  24. No Not All Groups Feel Comfortable Here At Eastern High School... Umm We Can Just Stop Being Judgmental And Accept People For Who They Are... Yes I Think I Do My Part :)

  25. I think if people interact with more people, then everyone will be ok. But since only certain people hang out with certain people then i think it makes others feel like they are not good enough or they feel left out.. So just interact with other people outside of who you hang with will bring people to become more comfortable.

  26. i'm not sure, but i think that eastern has a lot of different background. We can be nicer to everybody, to help our school.

  41. I think that Eastern is a very diverse school with much tolerance for people that don't look, act, or dress like us. I don't believe that every single person feels comfortable here, but thst is just anywhere you go. I myself am a very tolerant and patient person, and i do my best to learn about other cultures and teach them about mine.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Eastern is one of the most diverse schools, but i dont think everyone is as comfortable as wanted. I still feel that this is one of the most tolerant schools in the state.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I really dont think anyone is comforable.
I mean look outside in the hall or the class rooms or at lunch. Theres always a dirty look here or there, figths and bad mouthing our teachers. If we wanna be comfortable, anyone here at Eastern, they first need to be comfortable in their skins and stick to their business and not others. I mean we can only pass crap along so far before it rots in our hands and mouths. So how about stop?
Then again, we tolerate eachother enough that yeah, were diverse enough here even though were not that comforable.
