I liked the idea of the "Students of the Week" and how everyone should be recognized so that we can learn about them and there culture and not just base it other things. -Annaleana Green 3rd Hour
I didnt agree with everything that was said during the town hall meeting this morning. it was confusing and people were going off topic and saying stuff that wouldnt help the problems that were brought up. maybe for the next town hall meeting there should be a little better organization maybe it would have went over better. more people their that actually have solutions to problems we have here at school.
I didn't see it. I think the school should have done what it did last, set away a special time so everyone could watch it because i don't think that many other classes stopped their classes to watch

WOW!!!! i undertstand that we all have to do something about our school...but that town hall meeting was not cuting it..those ppl did not know what they was doing...except Migule, Audri,Jeff and Nick... why are ppl that dont do nada talking about what other ppl need to do??? dont be a hypocrite...help out first...then tell other ppl to help out...most of those ppl are the ones that contribute to OUR problems.......
My favorite part was when Ms O went lil wayne style and dropped the world on em. I dont think there were enough positive responses, it felt as if the students were just out to contradict the previous. The goal was to overcome our weaknesses and evolve to a more positive learning environment.
I didn't like the town meeting at all they need to actually get people that actually do show up for class and people who can make sense when they are expressing themselves.
- I thought that it was a good meeting but then again it really didn't help anything because honestly it was a waste of time. it's like no matter what different meetings they have or anything it's not going to change much. We as students have to change it ourselves. An the authority shouldn't try an change it with discipline. acknowledge the good we do and just go from there.
It was ok I just thought that maybe you should have kids who arent all that well behaved and maybe there would be a better outcome of ideas. Instead of people saying things that are basically common sense and that we should all already know by now. Dannyel Forman<3
Rikki Downer =) I think that the town hall meetings are kind of dumb I know that the school just wants to know how students feel and everything but I dont like having to watch these cause too many people go on there just to talk and it gets anoying. That and people arent really able to say what they really want to say it should be 'real' and people should say whats on their mind with out someone stopping them.
I didn't get a chance to watch it but by reading the other comments there were some problems about some of the people that were there are people who shouldnt be there.
I think there was a lot of questions that had the potential to have good answers, but were led off topic by students who might have been....less informed. But, at least people are taking initiative. Its better then having no one who wants to go at all. =)
I asked my teacher if we could watch it but she said no because we wouldnt get our work done if we watched it...it sucks but it's all done with now. -Chris Pfeifer-
i think one of the best points...was when the girl was talking about how theres not very much diversity at eastern cause many people are starting act like everybody else and dressing alike..
I was in the librarey so i heard some of it, there was alot of uneducated speaking in there.

ReplyDeleteThe good apart about the meeting was about the diversity in this school. there are a lot of diffierent culture and you do get to see different people.
