I LOVE this article on money, happiness, and rampant consumerism - Jeff Yeager and I must be twins separated at birth!
Check it out and then I encourage you to consider committing to finding happiness through this philosophy of "less is more." What do you think?
I think that the article is very correct... When everything seems to get super high priced people find ways to adapt and survive

Im not a greedy person so it already makes sense plus i prefer quality over quantity anyday
ReplyDeleteI think this Article is correct. Everythings price is going up and we need to adapt

I have always understood the value of what I have now without expensives. I never really cared about money as much and find true joy in life free. -Nate C.
ReplyDeleteI do think "less is more", you can be very happy with the little things.
ReplyDeleteI have always been taught it's not about what you have but what you can make of the things you have, so I agree less is more. I believe a person cannot be happy suffocated under all their possessions and in order to find happiness a person must let go of all their baggage. It’s about what you can carry on your back than what can weigh you down.
ReplyDeleteFor me, I think it would be hard to establish a "permanent standard of living" because what is "permanent"? But that aside, it is important to ask yourself what is enough, and not to spend more simply because you can.
ReplyDeleteI am, by nature, a frugal person. Even when I have money I never know what to spend it on--I don't seem to want anything--so I end up just saving it and, ultimately, giving it away because I have no use for it.
Less is more. I liked the article. We should be living within our means, and when we have the money, enough to live comfortably, no need to spend extra to show off...

This guy has obviously found something that works for him. but this philosophy is very correct why waste money on extra things that we dont need. and also why make money and big things the most important part of our life we just need to step back and look at what should be most important in our life.
ReplyDeleteLess is more, but it can be very difficult to change yourself, especially if its part of your daily life
ReplyDeleteI agree. This article is right. We should spend what we need and not waste money on things that can wait.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Jeff Yeager on this subject. If you can life a less expensice lifestyle that is also healthier for you and your family, you should definetly do it.
ReplyDeleteI think money just makes like easier. Though you may be happy, think about it and what does money really do to you.

I agree. People find ways to survive the high prices but because the people are run by advertsiments its hard not to to go out and get the new stuff. Though if you wait you can get then new stuff just as cheap in a few months when it isnt at its high point.
ReplyDeleteI agree with this article because we should sometimes spend money on the things we really need and not just what we want.
ReplyDeleteWell since I dont have any bills to pay I spend money on whatever I want at the moment. I am very good at saving money but if I dont have something that I need then I spend it on what I want.

i dont agree money doesnt buy happieness and we should learn to live with out money because one of these days all currency isnt going to mean a damn thing and already the value of a dollar is going down basically we are becoming worthless
ReplyDeleteI agree with the article we shouldnt waste money on things that can wait.
ReplyDeletei agree with the article because you don't need to waste money to be happy.
ReplyDeletewell i think in some cases more is less because just buying more things because you feel they would make you happy just leaves you broke.... and i dont think you should do so much thinking about how big is my house going to be..
ReplyDeleteand i admit i do think of expensive things but then i have to think about long term where will it leave me as due to being financially stable...
I agree with the article because we can spend the money on important things...like bills or houses or cars
ReplyDeleteI think that sometimes less is a good thing so you wont be doing or spending alot on unecessary items. i admit i do think about expensive things but i have to think long term and what postion it will put me in financially so its good conserve and save for the little things...
ReplyDelete-jordan wallace
Money makes me happy. Money allows me to buy things that make me happy and other people around me happy..
ReplyDeletei agree you should save money.so if something happens u will have the money
ReplyDeleteI Agree With The Article We Have More Important To Spend Money On Then Wast It
ReplyDeleteI agree with this article most of us , when we have money spend it on certain things we don;t need at the time. When we actually need money we don't have it.

Well today (4/20/10) I'd really appreciate more for my birthday. Maybe a gift or at least out to eat somewhere. But I guess I'll stick with, "Have a nice birthday (at school =/ ) hunny!". No money = crappy B-day nowadays.
ReplyDeleteI think that it can be good when you have money because you have a good time to plan how you can use the money. It can be better if you know how they spend money.-Nelson Mandela
ReplyDeleteI am one of these cheapskate type people and I feel riches doesn't buy happiness... So if it isn't a necessity then it's a want and is not that important.
ReplyDeletei think for saving money for late on, it can help u out on what you need
