Caring interests me because its a major thing someone needs to do in life. It teaches kids to show how they feel to each other to a point. I picked the trait because its something I try to do daily, trying to care about others even though sometimes they don't always care about you. I think i should improve this skill because sometimes im not always caring, mostly so when I am in a bad mood, than i end up getting a bit snappy with people which later I do regret to a point where i cant stop saying sorry to the person I was rude too. Even jobs should improve this by at least asking people how they are doing that morning. Showing you care does truely help the person.
ReplyDeleteTeachers do show they care up until they are angry with the students but granted the students do make the teachers mad...so its sorta their own faults.

I believe that the trait that I don't possess is that of a risk-taker. I have never classified myself as someone who takes risks on a daily basis and I usually try to stick to things that I know. For example: I am not attempting to go for a full IB Diploma because I don't believe that I have the discipline and knowledge to have a full college level work load by time I am in my junior year. I do plan on taking a few IB classes though, and I am working on becoming more of a risk taker so that I may go farther than before with my education and that I may better myself as an intellectual and as a person in general.

I think that the trait that im not strongly in is risk- taker, because i want to be in the IB Program but i dont think i will make it with all the work and the project and homework. I dont think that I am ready for that bug step. I want to be in all IB classes, but it will be a challenge for me.

The trait that interest me the most is thinkers. Thinker solve difficult problems. I like to look as myself as a thinker because I like to solve different problems. I like to do sudoku because you have to know where to put the right numbers just how a thinker would do.

I think caring applies to me because I put others feelings and needs into consideration before I do something, whether I`m busy or not. I try to help out in any way I can even if it`s the smallest task.
ReplyDeleteI think teachers lack being risk takers because they don`t really do things that spark the students` attention. Most do a good job at what they do, but the same daily routine gets old. The should explore new ways to present their ideas. Aside from that though, the do a pretty good job.

Like doing sports,your school work, and your friends. Its hard but you have to make tiem for all 3. And I would also pick Caring because its important to care for others. You also need people to care for you. Like when your friends support you an pick you up when your down. Those are the two traits that I would be the most interested in.

I think I am careing. I'm always comsiderite of others, and willing to help out anyone that needs it. I'm a very compassionate person and willing to give respect as long as i reseve it back. I don't believe in giving out respect unless it can be returned. Caring also suits me best because I always try to make a difference in any bad situation. If that means making a joke or talking it out, I'm willing to as long as others are too. I always make sure to do at least one nice thing for someone each day, and normally it turns into three nice things. =] Caring.

i think its good to be a Risk Taker, bacause life is all about taking risks. You will never know unless you try something new. For Example, If i were to wanna try something new such as, Sky Diving, then i would have to give it a shot sometime. But thats just an example. There is so many risks that people take everyday. ReplyDeleteI love my comfort zone and hate stepping outside of it, in school and everywhere else.
I don't like new people or activities. I don't know how I got where I am today, because if I'm not used to something, I don't even want to hear about it. I hardly ever try anything new, and that's why I wish I could be more of a risk taker. I guess that kind of falls under wanting to be more Open-Minded as well, so I guess I wish I had more of both.
I think that my strongest traits would be Open minded And Caring. I'm usually open to hear other people's ideas and suggestions when it comes to getting things done. Taking other peoples thoughts into conseradtion is kind of a habit of mine, because I apprecitate it when others do the same for me.

I nees to improve in the communicator skill because in future carrers it is very important to know how to work well with other by being able to talk to them or being able to talk to your boss. Without this skill you wont be able to get very far, you wont be able to ask questions when you need to, ask for a raise to get paid more, or even tell others what you need them to do. So in the future I need to work on the cummunicator skill to help me in my life.

My weakest trait is being a communicator. With my accent and misunderment sometime it's hard for me to share my ideas and oppions. However I'm planning to improve on my writting and speaking skill. I'm also learning another language so I can communicate with more people and with more confident.

It doesn't have to even be all that public, even just a few people in class and I freak out. I never have a problem in front of others as long as the work presented isn't my own personal work.

ReplyDeleteI feel I am weakest at balancing my life. I often stress out and get sick because I have little balance. I used to play soccer, but due to more challenging academic courses I had to stop. I want to try to balance my academic schedule better so I have time for other things. In a nutshell, I need to be more organized and use my time wisely.

But when it comes to me I think it is cool how we have all the races at our school and we all get along. Also i do not judge people by their religious views and hate them for it. Being open-minded opens a lot of options for situations, you can view something in more than one way and figure out multipe solutions, and you can understand other people's viewpoints on a subject and understand where they are coming from and learn from them and you can help each other.
ReplyDeleteI am a good inquirer and do it often, but sometimes I want to see better results within myself. I want to be able to use what I learned later on and be able to remember the experience I had in obtaining the information and be able to help other people learn more about the subject.

ReplyDeleteI Believe i am a Risk Taker. I have always tryed what if I failed could injure me. I have done some crazy things like snow boarding off a barn into a jump. I have jumped off a two story house just because someone said i couldn't. I keep going until I either succeed or get to hurt to do it. I tend to go out of my way to do dumb things, and i encourage anyone with brain cells to not do what i do!

ReplyDeletethe IB trait that i neec the most work on,i think, would be "reflective". i need a little help with being reflective because i tend to " put mor eon my plate then ill eat" and it always hurts in the end. i get involed in tomuch and then i dont do as well i should because it becomes overwelming and i give up. so i really need to learn from those mistakes so i can get a good education, i dont want to lose out because i dont know my limits before its to late.

ReplyDeleteI thought the risk taker trait was the one that interested me the most. at first i thought this meant that you would just do things you thought you would never do before. but by the description on the ib profile it's a lot more than that and is also the trait that i think describes me the most.. i believe that i do have the independence of spirit to explore news roles, ideas and strategies, being class president, you'd be able to tell just that. i like a challenge, i dont like to take the easy way out of things, but i do like to try new things so this trait fits me perfectly.

I possess the trait of a communicator. this trait fits me best because I communicate with people everyday throughout my life, wether its talkin, phone, texting etc., passing notes, or hand/ face gestures. I like talking and communicating with friends everyday about the latest news, or the weekends. Also, I communicate with my teachers when I am working on class assignments or about grades. These examples and more are wat I think makes me a great communicator. A trait that i really don't use is bein well- balanced. I think i could gain this trait by being more organized throughout life. For example, balancing out my time in and out of school, staying prepared for all homework/appointments, being on time for things, getting the reccomended amount of rest i need to start a great day everyday. I could work on becoming well- balancd by focusing on the important things in my life.
ReplyDeleteLook we have been doing this ib learner profile all week in every class, i no the school is trying to expand our minds but in one class is enough im so sick of doing it in every class. but if i had to pick one that best fit me it would probably be risk-taking. i good at taking risks even if i get in trouble for it. i have done a lot of things i shouldnt have but that dont mean i regret them.

ReplyDeleteI would say im a risk-talker cause im always ready for something new. and iwould also say i like to inquirer because being apart of the class will make me understand it better
