I think 11 is young to babysit a five year old so why is she babysitiing a 2 year old? Thats pretty much still a baby which should be left in charge to a more responsible person. Both the parents and the 11 year old got responsibility on this one.

I really don't think 11 yr. olds should be able to be babysiters. No, absolutly not, the 11 yr. old killed her so she should be responsible! They should both be responsible. I think it's horrible, and the babysiter will hopefully go to JAIL! Although the mom should've realized she was only 11 and not have left her daughter wit her.

I do not believe that a 11 year old should be watching over a 2 year old. The little 11 year old should never have been left incharge because 11 year olds dont have much patients and they are sometimes highly immature. BOTH parents should share responsiblity of this case..because they werent smart enough to know not to leave a 11 year old in charge of a baby. I think that, personally, both parents were stupid for accepting that an 11 year old should baby sit such a young baby.

I believe that the 2 year old should have never became the responsibility of the 11 year old, especially since I believe 11 year olds should be watched as well.
ReplyDeleteI believe that the blame falls on the parents of the 11 year old for allowing her daughter/son to babysit at such a young age, and to the parents of the 2 year old for ALLOWING the 11 year old to have sole responsibility of the child for the time that the 11 year old was with the baby.
The youngest that I would ever allow a child of mine to babysit someone else would be around 15 or older, and still not for a long period of time.
I am sorry for the parents who's child died, but I think that the parents should be ashamed of themselves for allowing the child to become the responsibility of ANOTHER CHILD.
I do not think that a 11 year old should be able to babysit any child, Regardless if it's there sibilings, next door neighbor our a family friend. At that age you are not responisble nor do you have pateints to deal with a young child. The parent should be charged as well as the babysitter. The mother should have known better than to not leave the baby alone with someone that young not fully knowing what could happen.

The parent shouldn`t have entrusted their trust in an 11 year old to watch her child because the eleven year old is a mere child herself. She`s 11, she can barely take care of herself. In charging the 11 year old with murder of the two year old, the parents should be ashamed because it was on her behalf that it happened. I think the parent should be held responsible for the death of her child because she was the one who entrusted her baby with her. No one in their right mind would ask a mere child to watch a 2 year old baby. They can barely take care of themselves. I think in preventing this tragedy, you should at least higher somone who`s far more qualified in the job, such as a 15 year old or older. They are highly more responsible and can actually take care of themselves.
ReplyDeleteThis is crazy an 11 year od should be getting babysitted not babysitting a baby. the parents and the child should be responsible. the parents should be responsible because they should ahve known better then to let a child watch a child and the 11 year old should be responsibile because they killed a baby. this could have been easily prevented because they should ahve gotten a real baby sitter to wath their child instead of a child o watch a child.

No, a parent should NEVER entrust the life, especially a two-year old's life in the hands of anyone who is eleven-years old. The parent should share responsibility because it is their fault for not enlisting a baby sitter who is older.

I think that the parents should of never left the 11 year old with a 2 year old. The parents are held for the death of the child, because they should of taken the child with them wherever they needed to go. The 11 year old has no idea of how to care for the baby. The adults are to take the responsibility for their kid. This tragedy i think is very sad for the 2 year old that has done nothing wrong and had to die. PARENTS LIKE THIS NEED TO BE MORE RESPONSIBLE!!!!!

No, i don't think a parent should trust an 11 year old to watch a younger child. They are not old or muture enough. I think they both should be held resbonsible for the death of the 2 year old. It was the parents choice to leave her with the 11 year old as well as it was the 11 year olds resbonsibility to keep the 2 year old safe. I think what happened is horible and sad i feel bad for the mother. i feel bad for the 11 year old too because i babysat over the summer and if something haad happened to one of the kids i would have felt sooooooo horrible. I think the death could have been prevented if the 11 year old would have watched the child better.

ReplyDeleteWell, I will never in life let an 11 year old watch my 2yr old. If i can't find a babysitting then i guess my child is going with me. They should both be responsible for the death, the mother should've known better also. I think the whole thing was a big mistake made from the lack of thinking.

According to the story, it's too soon to find out if the toddler's blunt trauma was from 'falling out the bed' or was actually struck by the eleven-year-old. If the toddler actually fell out of the bed, the mother should be held responsible for trusting an eleven year old with such a task. If the toddler was actually stricken, both the eleven-year-old and the mother should be held responsible.

Someone who is 11 still is a child they dont know how to take care of themselves so how can they take care of another person. The parents should have never let there baby babysit another child. An 11 year-old should not be baby-sitting, especially a 2 year-old child. Either way I believe that the mother is responsible for entrusting an 11 year-old to take care of the child. If an 11 year-old did strike the child than they should both be held responsible, but i believe that the baby sitter would've only struck the child if the baby sitter went through traumatic stuff as a child.

But i also think it is the eleven year olds fault to, because she was to watch her while her mother was at work. She took on the responsibility to watch the child. And it obvious that some one beat the child,or dropped her so thats how feel.

First off i believe that the parents are extremely irresponsible for leaving an 11 year old girl with a 2 year old. I can bet that the parents arnt veary good parents in the first place, she had to be influenced by someone to hit the baby to shut it up. plus that eleven year old girl was probably left with that baby.. not by her choice..it makes you wonder what the hell are people thinking about when they do stupid stuff like this.

ReplyDeleteI do Think some of the fault lies in the 2 year olds mother for trusting such a young child too watch her baby but at the same time these days 11 year old kids are alot more mature and kno what they are doing. And the mother most likly also thought that she was leaving her baby in good hands since she knew them cause she worked with them, i think they should both take responsibility for what happen because the mother of the 11 year old could have done many things too prevent this and she never called 911 when she relized somthing was wrong with the baby. she just let her die and thats not okay.

I don't think that you should hire an 11 year old to babysit your 2 year old child, I believe it's the parents fault because if you think that she can watch the baby then your nuts. I believe that they should both share responsibilty but mostly the 11 year old for killing her, and to prevent it, just don't hire 11 year olds for work. It's simple.

ReplyDeleteWell... this is SUPER sad!!! It makes me want to cry. (I almost did). I dont think that the baby's mom should have let an 11 year old watch her baby. I dont care how responsible she thinks she is, that girl is TOO young to be watching children of ANY age. And I think that they were right in charging that "babysitter" in her death. She was there, and she was responsible for that child.
ReplyDeletePersonally, I don't think an eleven year old is responsible enough to be entrusted with watching a baby. Both the Parent and the child should be held responsible. The Parent should have asked the child if an adult was home instead of just leaving the baby with her. The child should have paid closer attention to the baby.
ReplyDeleteIt's the mother, the baby sitter and the baby sitter's mothers fault. The mother shouldn't have left the baby alone, the baby sitter shouldn't have beat the baby and the baby sitter's mother should have checked in more often, I wouldn't be surprised if the baby sitter's mother beat her. She probably was just imitating her mother when she beat the little girl. The girl probably was crying when the baby sitter left her in bed. She probably died from the injuries later, alone.

I believe the parent of the 11 year old are more responsible than the actual mother of the child that died because no was taking or watching over the 11 year old child. Horrible way to lose a child but you have to think twice about who you leave your children with, you never know what will happen since the parent of the child will not be there.

I also think that its the girls falt because if she knew that the babie fell of the bed like she sad she should of called her mom to cheeck on the babie and make shure it was ok, but instead she lied of what happend so that makes me think that she ment to kill the babie because if it was an acsident she would of called 911.

You Have To Have A Lot Of Patience To Watch Young Children And Obviously The 11 Year Old Didn't Have That. If i Was In The Situation Personally i Would Want The "Babysitter" To Be Punished. I believe that in this case, the mother, Ashley Collier of the two year old Zyda White, is the one that should be held responsible. Why would she leave her child with an eleven year old while she went to work? I mean to me, maybe five minutes is fine but over the course of a day is too lonq. I think that an eleven year old as a babysitter is wayyy to younq and can barely take care of themselves. The eleven year old should Not qet punished when she didn’t know any better , yet the mother knew what she was doinq and could have prevented the death of her child.

Well clearly there is a part of the story that is missing. It's not likely that there will be blunt forced trauma to a child if she just casually falls off the bed. Then mother of the 2-year old &nd the 11-year old girl should both be held responsible. This mother has serious issues if shes leaving her child with an 11-year that has to be some type of neglect &nd the 11-year old had some part of her death so she should be charged for murder in the 2nd
